TtEC in the Community

Shoe DriveTtEC strives to assist the communities where we do business by supporting initiatives that enrich and enhance the lives of the people who live there.

Each year, TtEC “adopts” a non-profit organization on which to focus our fundraising efforts and raise awareness. We have supported a variety of national charities, including the March of Dimes and, most recently, the American Diabetes Association. TtEC has raised more than $250,000 for the March of Dimes over the past 10 years, and continues to support local events.

Last year, TtEC chose to support the American Diabetes Association’s “Step Out to Fight Diabetes,” a nationwide event that seeks to raise funds to help find a cure and bring greater awareness to the disease. TtEC offices around the country held fundraisers to raise money and participated in the 3 mile walk.

In 2009, TtEC is supporting Autism Speaks, which raises money to fund research that seeks to uncover the cause and cure for autism, the country’s #1 developmental disorder. TtEC employees are actively involved in a various events, including the Walk Now for Autism fundraising event.

In addition to supporting these national charities, TtEC reaches out to many local organizations that make positive impacts in the various communities in which we work and live. Some of these local event/organizations include:

  • The “Run of the Charles” Canoe and Kayak race which raises funds to protect, preserve and enhance the Charles River and its watershed.
  • The Hunger Walk, a 5 mile walk that raises money to support local soup kitchens and food banks.
  • The Interfaith Food Pantry, which helps low-income families by supplementing their monthly groceries.
  • The ‘Heart and Soles’ Program, which is a collection of local schools, health agencies and charities that assist more than 300 low-income families by raising money and helping them purchase shoes.
  • Habitat for Humanity’s ‘Women Build Project’, a program where a home is planned and built by women for a single mother.
  • Holiday Drives for which offices around the country collected donations and sponsored families in need for Christmas by raising thousands of dollars to purchase toys, shoes, clothes, and pay utility bills.

TtEC also strives to assist and impact our global communities. TtEC supported a Habitat for Humanity Global Village Build in Comanesti, Romania. We helped to build affordable homes for families in need. The Habitat Team also helped rebuild 150 homes devastated by a flood in July 2008.

From small local charities to global outreach programs, at TtEC, we believe that community involvement should be an essential part of all our business philosophies, no matter where we operate. That’s why we support programs and charities focused on strengthening the communities where we live and work—for today and for the future.
