TtEC provided permitting support, identified grant sources, and designed a bulkhead for three marinas: Harborage Marina, Doss Pier, and the Southside Marina. We submitted designs to work around outparcels, large numbers of building cast auger piles that interfere with bulkhead anchorages, and strengthening existing bulkhead segments that cannot be repaired seaward due to the presence of mangroves. The project site consists of a 22-acre boat basin on the North Fork of the St. Lucie River, and due to the St. Lucie River being a high wave action area, designs incorporated floating wave attenuators and breakwaters to help calm the waters inside the combined marina complex.

TtEC’s permitting support involved obtaining state regulatory and proprietary authorizations, as well as federal and local authorizations. Numerical modeling of circulation and contaminant transport was completed in support of the permitting effort to demonstrate the basin flushing capabilities of the new marinas. TtEC also completed additional requirements by the agencies, including sampling, surveys, dredge calculations, and sediment settling calculations for the containment design.
