Tetra Tech EC, Inc. has consistently demonstrated an effective, cooperative working relationship with federal, state, and local regulators to the benefit of our clients. With our 30 years of experience, we have built very strong working relationships with federal and state regulatory agencies throughout the nation. We have regulatory specialists who maintain active involvement with agency personnel, developing personal relationships that enhance our ability to communicate and negotiate with regulatory agencies.

 

We have extensive experience and comprehensive working knowledge of the regulations and regulators expected to impact work including the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, the National Historic Preservation Act, the Archaeological and Historic Preservation Act, the Endangered Species Act, the Pollution Prevention Act, the Safe Drinking Water Act; Executive Orders dealing with wetlands (EO11990), floodplains (EO11988), and Environmental Justice (EO12948); and state and local regulations. Our regulatory experience ranges from simple, one-permit tasks to very complex projects involving federal, state, and local regulations and negotiations. This experience gives our personnel the regulatory know-how to effectively support clients in achieving compliance.

 

In addition to their project involvement, our regulatory specialists and technical personnel maintain their relationships and stay current with the regulations through the following:

 

  • Active involvement in development of regulatory personnel registration standards
  • Interaction in professional associations and committees
  • Regularly commenting on proposed regulations
  • Offering workshops and courses on hazardous waste regulations
  • Presenting technical papers at seminars attended by regulatory personnel
  • Providing national leadership in the integration of risk assessments into the corrective action process

The SINs are listed below, each with examples of the types of tasks that can be conducted under that SIN. The tasks identified are examples only; they are not the only services that Tetra Tech EC can provide under the SIN.
