Q: Why is using a GSA Schedule contractor better than purchasing on the open market?
A: GSA has already deemed the prices to be fair and reasonable. All schedule contracts have been awarded in compliance with all federal laws and regulations. Administrative and ordering time is reduced and simplified.
Q: Is there a minimum and maximum dollar order limit?
A: The minimum order limit is $100. The maximum order limit is $5 million, although on ordering over $1 million the client may renegotiate labor rates.
Q: How quickly can I procure services?
A: Services can normally be procured within 15 days. However, expedited services can be accomplished as quickly as within 24 hours.
Q: Do I need to involve a contracting office to obtain the services of Tetra Tech EC
A: Yes. You just need to contact the contracting office that supports your government agency or one of the GSA contracting offices. However, it is your discretion which contracting office or officer to use.
Q: Can I be assured that the services I need will always be available?
A: The schedule contract base period was for five years with three 5-year renewal options. The contract option was exercised in August 2004 so the contract was extended for the first option period and now runs for another 5-year period until August 2009.
Q: What fee will GSA charge my project for administering the contract?
A: GSA charges a three-quarter (3/4) percent (0.75%) industrial funding fee, which is included in the GSA-approved labor rates. In addition, the industrial funding fee is applied to any non-labor project expenses or other direct costs, except travel expenses. There is no additional GSA management fee.
