ALEXANDRIA, VERMONT

Tetra Tech EC, Inc (TtEC) provided air quality permitting services for a 16 MW biomass fired power plant located in Alexandria, NH. The project is being developed by Indeck Energy Services, Inc. headquartered in Buffalo Grove, IL. The project is based on an existing facility that had been shut down for 14 years, and is being repermitted to renew operations.

The fuel source for the project will be whole tree chips, delivered to the site by truck. The project also includes a 2 cell cooler tower. TtEC prepared the air permit application including conducting the emissions control technology assessment and the air quality dispersion modeling impact study. The AERMOD dispersion model was used to predict air quality impacts and demonstrate compliance with the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS).
